Located not far from historic downtown Kennewick, the development is expected to attract visitors to this city located in heart of Washington’s wine country. Though the entrance on E. Columbia Drive seems less than glamorous at present, the location actually has much potential. Tasting rooms will be quite close to an attractive nature area on the north side of the property that abuts the Clover Island setting along the Columbia River.
Terrence Thornhill, architect for the project, said on many trips to California he observed the infrastructure of wine country and believes that the Columbia Gardens wine village will be a step in that direction.
