TASTE News Service, February 19, 2019 – There’s plenty of fun to have in Thurston County (home of the state capital of Olympia) as winter moves toward spring.

Lacey Cultural Celebration, March 2, 2019

A family friendly celebration of cultures offers music and dance from around the world on three performance stages. Guests can enjoy hands-on experiences, demonstrations and displays that depict international traditions. Taste exotic flavors and enjoy artwork from food and craft vendors. ci.lacey.wa.us

Spring Military Collectible Show, March 16, 2019

The Olympic Flight Museum hosts its annual Spring Military Collectibles Show, welcoming collectors and dealers who display or sell an assortment of unusual or historic examples of field gear, uniforms, insignia and other military or aviation accessories. Come to look, buy, sell or trade! General admission is $5.00 per person, museum members and children 6 and under are free. olympicflightmuseum.com/event-2/.

Spring Arts Walk, April 26 - 27, 2019

Come to the capital as the streets of downtown Olympia come alive with visual and performing arts by hundreds of artists. Find hands-on family activities, demonstrations and impromptu street performances. This event is for artists, art lovers and the art curious. 23rd Annual Easter Egg Dash, April 27, 2019

At Tumwater's Annual Easter Egg Dash, more than 20,000 colorful eggs are nestled in the large grassy area behind the stadium at Tumwater High School, just waiting to be discovered. Excited youngsters dash across the open field collecting eggs filled with candy, toys, and prize coupons. The Easter Bunny also makes a special appearance to pose for photos. Bring a basket or bag to collect all those eggs! Free event for ages 0-10. ci.tumwater.wa.us

Nisqually Valley Home & Garden Show, April 28 – 29, 2019

The annual Home and Garden Show features hundreds of exhibitor booths and demonstrations, offering the latest in home and yard related products, services and improvements. And don't forget the food!
